The company "UN Studio" has decided to build the highest Ferris wheel without blades in Seoul, the capital of South Korea.
According to Mehr News Agency, quoted by New Atlas, this strange structure is in the form of 2 attractive rings with chambers that rotate around them to provide a beautiful view of the area.
This carousel called Seoul Twin Eye is being built in collaboration with Arup and Heerim Architects on a cultural complex with a height of 40 meters. The diameter of the rings of the carousel is 180 meters and thus the height of the entire structure reaches 220 meters.
This amusement device has 64 cabins, each of which can carry 25 visitors. The carousel can carry more than 1400 people at the same time. Its bladeless design also means that the chambers move using a track-based system that pulls them in and out of the rings. Therefore, the whole amusement device does not rotate like regular merry-go-rounds.
The said carousel is part of the Seoul Ring project, which was announced by the municipality last year. The construction operation is supposed to start in 2025 and be completed in 2028 according to the forecasts.
